About Us
The San Francisco Naturalist Society was formed by a group of biology nerds at San Francisco State University in 1998. It has expanded to become a nonprofit club for hundreds of people throughout the Bay Area who share a common passion for the natural sciences. Anyone who enjoys learning about the natural world is encouraged to join and participate. A natural history lecture is usually held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Randall Museum. All talks are free and open to the general public. Membership costs just $10 annually.
